Fox News host Jesse Watters ranted about the need to protect Western civilization during the network’s show “The Five” this week, implying one of the markers of collapse is seeing “the Muslims start to rise up.”
Watters made the comments during a conversation with the panel of “The Five” about the arrest of comedian Graham Linehan in the United Kingdom at London’s Heathrow Airport.
Linehan was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence in relation to posts on social media about transgender issues. The co-creator of TV comedy show “Father Ted” also went on trial this week in a separate case where he is accused by prosecutors of “relentlessly” posting abusive comments online about a trans woman.
“This is Western civilization. This is Europe here. We have lost the connective tissue between the United States and Europe. We are now the true beacon of freedom. And we can’t lose what we have in Europe. We have to cradle it. We have to nurture it. Because if it dies and that flame is extinguished, that’s a huge problem for the West when you see China coming up, when you see the Muslims start to rise up,” Watters said, after being asked if he was thinking twice about going to London in the near future.
“This culture and this tradition of freedom and liberty and property has to be maintained,” Watters continued. “And if it’s not, bad things are going to happen — not just here, to the entire world.”
