“Ah-ced-uv — well, let’s see…”: Trump butchers pronunciation of acetaminophen while promoting unproven autism link.

You’d think he maybe would have practiced that…

President Donald Trump, alongside HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., announced that the FDA will advise pregnant women not to take acetaminophen (which he struggled to pronounce), the active ingredient in Tylenol — one of the world’s most common over-the-counter pain relievers.

The Trump administration is choosing to draw an unproven link between autism and pregnant women’s use of acetaminophen, despite no credible scientific backing and decades of evidence that shows acetaminophen is safe for expecting mothers.

In fact, Tylenol is widely considered the safest treatment for pain and fever during pregnancy, as long as patients take the recommended dose.

Trump suggested in the announcement at the Oval Office on Monday that women who have fevers while pregnant should try to “tough it out.” The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine has warned that untreated fevers in pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, put the mothers at higher risk for miscarriages and other problems.
