Former YSL co-defendant, when asked at Young Thug trial if he’s seen Serena Williams Crip Walk: “I don’t watch tennis.”

The courtroom chuckled during the Young Thug trial in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday following this exchange between Brian Steel, an attorney for the rapper, and former YSL co-defendant Trontavious Stephens, also known as “Tick” and “Slug,” who has been on the stand for the last several days facing questioning by the prosecution as well as cross-examination from Young Thug’s defense —

Defense Attorney: “Have you seen sports figures, professional sports figures — basketball, football, baseball — have you seen them go like this with wiping their nose?”

Stephens: “Yes.”

Defense Attorney: “On national TV?”

Stephens: “Yeah.”

Defense Attorney: “Have you seen at the Super Bowl performers playing and doing C’s for the Crips?”

Prosecutor: “Objection.”

Judge: “I stand the objection.”

Defense Attorney: “Have you seen tennis players? Do you know who Serena Williams is?”

Stephens: “Yes.”

Defense Attorney: “Have you seen her at Wimbledon doing what’s called a Crip Walk? Do you know what a Crip Walk is, first of all?”

Stephens: “I don’t watch tennis.”
